Rejoice Schumi fans. The Master is going to be back in the driver’s seat for next week’s multi-team test session at the Circuit de Catalunya. It’s going to be a full-blown test for Michael – not just a few slow, demonstration laps. The reason for that is to utilize Schumi’s invaluable experience in driving Traction Control-less cars.
But, it would do very well to keep expectations in check – expectations with regards to his lap times. Michael is not used to this season’s considerably less sticky Bridgestone control tyres. He will have to take it easy for the first few laps, understand the tyres, understand the car and everything. That’s when he can start pushing to 100 percent – and more – and drive like the (our) real Michael Schumacher.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
